Diplocaulobium tentaculatum Daniel Geiger

When the morning greets me with a nice flowering Diplocaulobium tentaculatum, I know it is a good day. This is a one-day wonder orchid; it opens its flowers early morning and by about 6 PM, they are all wilted. I don’t quite know how the plant synchronizes the flowering of all flowers, but it sure makes a nice fireworks display. This particular specimen did the same fantastic show a good week ago. It seems the plant is really happy.
