Myrmecophila brysiana
Myrmecophila brysiana
Myrmecophila brysiana is found in Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Colombia at elevations from sea level to 600 meters (1,950 feet). This is a large-sized, epiphytic, hot-growing species that blooms in the winter and spring with many showy flowers. Plants are usually grown in baskets or shallow pots with very open, fast-draining medium. Repot as infrequently as possible since they may stop blooming for several years after. When repotting necessary, do so only as new root growth is starting.
