Stanhopea posadae

Stanhopea posadae is found in Colombia as a medium-sized, cool-growing epiphyte that blooms in the summer, carrying up to 12 fragrant flowers. Its flower spikes grow downward through the bottom of the pot, so it should be grown in open-slatted hanging wooden baskets, wire baskets, or mesh/net pots. Use open, moisture-retentive, and fast-draining mixes like New Zealand sphagnum moss, fir bark, or perlite. Keep the medium moist and never let it dry out completely. Fertilize regularly and heavily when plants are actively growing.
