Renewal FAQs

Renewal FAQ's

Orchid Digest changed to a new billing platform on March 5, 2024.

If you have NOT renewed since March 5, 2024, you are NOT on auto-renew and you will need to purchase your membership when your renewal is due.

Here's what you need to know about upcoming renewals...

As your renewal date approaches, you will receive an email reminder about your upcoming renewal. This email will contain a link to set up your subscription on the new platform.  Your credit card will NOT be automatically billed, even if you were on auto-renew on the old platform. You MUST set up your subscription on the new platform.

If you take action to set up your subscription on the new platform prior to your expiration date, your membership will continue uninterrupted.

If you do not take action to set up your subscription on the new platform prior to your expiration date, you'll lose access to member-only resources and your membership will cease.

If you are not sure when your membership is due to renew, you can always check on this page.estions?

If you have any questions about membership, please feel free to reach out to membership@orchiddigest.org.

After you've made your first subscription payment on the new platform, the following FAQ's will apply:

How will I know when it's time to renew?

If you are set up for automatic billing, you'll receive an email reminder shortly before your renewal date. That email will include a link to your the account management page where you can view your subscription details, change your credit card, or cancel your membership.

  • If you do nothing, your credit card will automatically be charged for another membership period at the renewal rate then in effect.

  • If you prefer not to automatically renew, you can end your subscription from that account management page.

  • If your credit card fails when we try to process your renewal, you'll receive an email notification asking you to update your card details. If there is no action on your part, the membership will lapse.

How do I know if I'm on automatic billing?

From the account management page, you'll be able to see if any active subscription exists, along with the renewal date and amount.

When is my renewal due?

From the account management page, you'll see the date of your next payment.

My credit card information has changed.  Where do I submit new information?

From the account management page, click the "change" link next to your current method. Note that you must ADD a new card before you can delete out the old one.

How can I stop the automatic billing?

From the account management page, click the "cancel subscription" link that is displayed underneath your active subscription.

What happens if I cancel the subscription?

You will remain a member through the duration of your subscription term. If you do not repurchase a membership when your term ends, your access to Orchid Digest member resources will be removed and you will no longer receive any issues from us.

Can I just purchase one year at a time without automatically being billed each year?

By default, all memberships are initially set to auto-renew. You can cancel that at any time by following the instructions above. As your renewal date approaches, you will receive an email providing you with the opportunity to either start a new recurring membership or to purchase only a single year.
